lijn 17 had ook een keer zo’n geintje op de Overtoom. Toen die truck de tram terug de rails in trok, kwamen zijn wielen aan 1 kant van de grond. Iedereen in paniek, behalve de chauffeur van de truck. “kan ie best hebben hoor”

Is dat jouw schoen die daar ligt?

Sorry for the English, but my Dutch is horrible. I’ve been in two tram accidents. Once the 13 I was in hit some Belgians who didn’t look before trying to turn left across the tram tracks on the Rozengracht. They were in an SUV, but still their car had quite a bit of damage, and the tram? Some paint smears. Awesome. (This was one of the good old trams, if it happened in one of the new ones, I’m sure the whole thing would have broken apart.)

And then once I was in a tram leaving CS on a really hot day (not this summer ;) and the wire going from the top of the tram to the bovenleiding just snapped in the heat. It handily happened just after leaving CS so that the tram blocked any of the other trams from leaving. =)
